Behavior is Our Reality!

Together We Can SEE-KS to Understand It.

Learning Experience

These resources acknowledge that learner behavior can be a classroom engagement barrier, but there's hope. Explore the social neuroscience of engagement, learn to identify enhancement opportunities, and get practical ideas for your classrooms. This interactive presentation aims to boost educator self-efficacy and well-being and will help support your students tomorrow.

Why

Social engagement is the fuel for the brain to grow. We, as educators are “brain architect” who “fuel” this growth; yet things feel different! Understanding the science behind behavior and an understanding of neuro-variability guides us to think differently about cognitive skills that support engagement.

What

When we know better we do better. Remember the Golden Rule? I wonder what would it look like to appy this to support student behaviors in a way that you would want to be supported, to notice with inquiry to discover a lagging skill or an opportunity, and to do this with appreciation for what is rather than judgement for what is not.

How

Exhausted by all the behaviors, all the meetings in addition to the meetings, and looking for a way to sustain your own efforts to make a positive impact…. You are not alone and these resources are here to support you. The art of noticing is a skill that comes when we understand ourselves and our triggers as well as our values.

Does being noticed with appreciation sound good to you? Would you like to build upon opportunities that seem to be working for students? How does doing this within a dialog surrounded by colleagues who are walking the walk with you? Amazing! I agree.

Notice the “3i’s” of engagement using an appreciation inquiry 4D peer to peer mentorship model.
